what does it mean to protect machine?
Maintenance is the combination of all technical, administrative, managerial acts, expected to occur during an entity’s life cycle, intended to maintain or restore it to a state in which it can perform the required function.
Breaking maintenance
benefits
Entire life-cycle exploitation
disadvantages
Damage extended to other components 24-hours maintenance team
Large warehouse of spare parts Unexpected long stops
Preventive maintenance
BENEFITS
Failure and damage reduction
Periodic planned stops
DISADVANTAGES
Life cycle not fully exploited
High management costs
Lack of knowledge of machinery real state of health
Predictive maintenance
BENEFITS
Purchase of spare parts only in agreement.
It allows the use of the entire operational life of each components.
It allows to know the machinery actual state of health.
It avoids damage to the other machine components.
It ensures production.
DISADVANTAGES
Condition monitoring implementation.
Proactive maintenance
BENEFITS
Extension of life cycle through elimination of problems.
Maintenance in accordance with the condition.
Condition monitoring of process and procedures.
DISADVANTAGES
Condition monitoring activity implementation.
How to carry out proactive maintenance?
- Proactive maintenance consists in istalling sensors on the machine you want to monitor; those sensors will give us constant information about temperature, shaft revolutions and vibration values.
- Sensors will be connected to a control unit that transforms our signals from analog to digital.
- The control unit, after having carried out its task, will send to a PC the collected signals.
- The PC, thanks to dedicated programs and the work done by the operatores, will give us a set of information about the operation and the status of the components installed in the machine.
- Thanks to this type of istalled system it will be possible to exploit the engine without ever bringing it to the structural limits, considering the state of wear of the components and planning the type of interventions to be carried out according to the needs.
condition monitoring management
The sensor system, thanks to the setting of alarms, will be able to warn well in advance the change in the state of wear of a machine, inviting us to focus on what is happening.
The alarms will be, managed and notified both by GISACO and by your staff, being in continuous communication in order to improve the maintenance standards of your machines and engines.
